Referrals are triaged, screened, and service matched in alignment with Provincial standards for Central Intake. Halton Healthcare is the Central Region Mental Health and Addictions Hub and processes all incoming referrals. Referrals are accepted for people across the lifespan, including Child & Youth, Adult, and Older Adult/Senior referrals. All referrals are reviewed for completeness and will be directed to the most appropriate mental health and addictions service based on service directory criteria and the patient's care needs and preferences. Patients can expect to be contacted by the Hub to arrange a short telephone screening and to discuss care options. In some cases, they will be contacted directly by the appropriate service to schedule their care appointment.
