Additional information: Services Offered FEMAP is a program helping older teens and young adults (age 16-25) with emotional concerns that fall into the categories of mood and/or anxiety symptoms. We provide a safe and confidential place for youth to get help early, before symptoms begin to irreparably disrupt lives. FEMAP is a part of LHSC’s Adult Mental Health Services, the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, and the University of Western Ontario. We provide quality care and conduct innovative research on the causes, preventions and treatments of mood and anxiety disorders. FEMAP is a clinical and clinical research program funded differently from other healthcare services at LHSC. FEMAP provides a full range of services, assessing whether someone has a mood and/or anxiety disorder and helping them to overcome symptoms with proven methods (including psychotherapy, medication, and substance use treatments). If you are eligible and choose to access help at FEMAP, you will receive follow-up from one of our team members to help ensure you are on the right track to feeling like yourself again. Other Details We do not diagnose or treat autism spectrum disorders. Please note that FEMAP represents a novel health care delivery model and, as such, we need to do outcomes research to test the model. This research will help determine what should be the "standard of care" for youth in Ontario and Canada. Because of this goal, all youth accepted for treatment at FEMAP will need to be willing to fill out questionnaires at set time points throughout treatment as part of that research. As such, updates on the status of the referral (or other updates) will not flow back through the referral network, and any follow-up requests should be sent via other means.
