Additional information: GPCSO and the Geriatric Psychiatry Program at The Royal have partnered to offer Ottawa Geriatric Psychiatry Centralized Intake Service (OGPS). OGPS provides a simplified referral process for all community-based outpatient and outreach Geriatric Psychiatry in Ottawa. All referrals are triaged by a clinician. These programs provide comprehensive geriatric mental health assessment to provide diagnosis and treatment options for community-dwelling older adults (65 +) with new (late-onset) mental health concerns, and/or chronic mental illness complicated by age related functional decline, and/or living with dementia and associated BPSD. Services provided; psychiatric consultation, multi-disciplinary assessment, short-term case management.
