The group program facilitators are the HICs of each program they lead and once accepted into a program, the facilitator will send an intake form to be completed by the patient.* The Centre for Mindfulness Studies is a charitable social enterprise in downtown Toronto and the leading service delivery organization for mindfulness-based interventions in Canada. We offer effective evidence-based clinical group therapies for individuals with mental health concerns and chronic illnesses, including anxiety, stress, and depression. Each program is 6 to 8 weeks with live weekly sessions (IN-PERSON or ONLINE), including home practice. We offer the following group therapies for mental health support: ● Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (For mild to moderate generalized anxiety/preventing depressive relapse) ● Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (For stress/chronic pain/mild to moderate generalized anxiety) ● Mindfully Managing Anxiety & Uncertainty (For managing anxiety, worry, and uncertainty) Are our programs covered by OHIP? We have many clinicians and mindfulness teachers that deliver our programs, including Social Workers, Registered Psychotherapists, and Occupational Therapists. Unfortunately, OHIP doesn’t cover these services. Our 8-week group programs work out to approximately $70 per 2.5hr session. If you have employee benefits/third-party insurance, the program may be fully covered by your insurance plan. We also offer a Bursary Program for those experiencing financial instability - it’s a very simple and easy process to apply for a bursary spot in one of our programs that is pay-what-you-can.
