Additional information: The Department of Otolaryngology — Head & Neck Surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital is home to a team of surgeons, nurses, technicians and learners who provide comprehensive care for head-and-neck disease. The Otolaryngology team works with specialists across dentistry, endocrinology, oncology, ophthalmology, neurology, neurosurgery, audiology and speech-language pathology to provide comprehensive care for head and neck disease. Our department is fully affiliated with the University of Toronto and is a recognized leader in education, research and patient care. Nearly 20,000 patients a year visit our otolaryngologists (ear, nose, throat, or ENT surgeons), who treat a full range of general otolaryngology disorders including thyroid/parathyroid disorders, nose and sinus conditions, hearing and balance/vestibular disorders. As leaders in oral cavity, pharynx, larynx, skin, thyroid, salivary, sinonasal and anterior skull base malignancies, we perform open and minimally invasive surgeries using robotic and image-guided technologies, reconstructive microvascular surgery and follow-up care through recovery. We also provide specialty services for patients with rare and difficult-to-diagnose mouth disease.
