Additional information: The Thoracic Diagnostic Assessment Program (DAP) is an important part of the Durham Regional Cancer Program, and provides patients with timely access to an interdisciplinary team. Members of the team include: thoracic surgeon, respirologist, radiologist, pathologist, nurse navigator (RN) and other health disciplines. The Nurse Navigator will facilitate the plan of care. This includes a Malignant Pleural Effusion clinic - please note, referrals must be for confirmed or suspected malignancies only. If pleural effusion is due to known benign condition, please refer to local IR department.
