Additional information: The Outpatient Mental Heath Clinic consists of a multidisciplinary team of Psychiatrists, Nurses, Social Workers, Occupational Therapist, and Support Staff. The treatment provided is time-limited, evidence-based and goal-directed for individuals struggling with an acute mental health condition. This program offers psychiatric consultations, telephone consultations (physician to physician), and individual and group counselling. Primary care providers may receive a psychiatric telephone consultation in lieu of an in-person consultation as a timely alternative to provide assistance and optimize care at a primary care level. Individual and group counselling services are available to individuals registered with the Outpatient program to promote stabilization and skill development for addressing common mental health challenges. Most fees are covered by OHIP, a referral is required from a Physician or a Regulated Health Care Professional. Once a referral is received, it will be triaged by the Intake Coordinator. The patient and/or referral source will be notified of the outcome. Referrals may be redirected to alternative services as necessary.
