Who they see: Adults 18 years and older with transitory neurologic events suggestive of seizures/epilepsy: chronic uncontrolled epilepsy, newly diagnosed epilepsy or first non-provoked seizures. Also sees pregnant patients with epilepsy, anti-seizure medication toxicity, known/suspected PNES and difficult post-stroke epilepsy.
Not accepted: Does not accept seizures versus syncope determination; provoked seizures from alcohol/drug use or withdrawal, metabolic imbalance or within 7 days of trauma; MTO form review; or medication discontinuation for stable patients without recent seizures.
