Additional information: The Medical Imaging department at Toronto General Hospital is an integral member of the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre and the Joint Department of Medical Imaging (comprised of Toronto General, Princess Margaret, Toronto Western, Sinai Health and Women's College hospitals). At the Toronto General Hospital, our team is comprised of radiologists, fellows and residents, technologists and nurses who provide expertise in abdominal imaging and intervention, cardiac imaging and thoracic imaging and intervention, and vascular interventional radiology. The Toronto General Hospital is also home to the University of Toronto's Advanced Imaging and Education Centre located within the Medical Imaging Department. The centre is unique in Canada as a training facility that is dedicated to teaching physicians, fellows, residents and technologists advanced image acquisition and reconstructive techniques. Due to excessive wait times, JDMI can not process requisitions outside the established catchment area for the following modalities / procedure types: computed tomography (CT), interventional radiology (IR), and biopsy. There are currently no timelines available for when these requisitions can be processed. Please note: Referrals cannot be canceled via the portal once submitted and will require a phone call to the department phone number listed above.
