Additional information: The Surgical Clinic provides services during the hours of 08:00 to 15:30, Monday through Friday. Services may be obtained after hours, weekends and holidays in the following manner: o An on-call physician will be available for the Emergency Department (ED) and inpatient consultation as per the organizational on-call schedule. On evenings and weekends, the consulting service will determine if and when a patient needs to be assessed based on the service, acuity and time-sensitivity The General Surgery clinic provides assessment, diagnosis and treatment of various abdominal, anal and rectal conditions. Procedures performed in this clinic may include: o Aspiration of seroma o Banding (Ligation of hemorrhoids) o Core biopsy o Cortisone injections o Drain removal o Fine needle aspiration o Incision and drainage o Lesion Biopsy o Rigid sigmoidoscopy o Pilonidal sinus treatment
