Meningococcal ACYW — toddler dose at 12 to 23 months
One dose of quadrivalent (Men-C-ACYW) conjugate vaccine at 12 to 23 months.
1 doseNACI (May 2026): all children 12 to 23 months of age should receive one dose of quadrivalent meningococcal conjugate (Men-C-ACYW) vaccine, replacing the Men-C-C toddler dose. A child who already had Men-C-C at 12 to 23 months is not revaccinated. MENQUADFI is authorized from 12 months, NIMENRIX from 6 weeks, MENVEO from 2 months.
Meningococcal ACYW — routine adolescent or adult, one dose
One dose of Men-C-ACYW conjugate vaccine, routinely given at about 12 years of age.
1 doseRoutine single adolescent dose regardless of infant or toddler history; also for adults with travel, occupational or outbreak indications.
Meningococcal ACYW — high-risk conditions, two doses
Two doses 8 weeks apart for asplenia, complement deficiency, HIV and other high-risk conditions.
2 dosesFor people 12 months and older with no spleen or a spleen that does not work, complement or properdin deficiency (including eculizumab or ravulizumab treatment), HIV, or other high-risk conditions. Two doses at least 8 weeks apart (4 weeks if accelerated). A booster every 5 years while risk continues (every 3 years if first immunized under 7 years of age).
