ADHD Screening Treatment Online — Ontario Virtual Care

See a licensed healthcare professional online for adhd screening — no waiting room, no travel.

This screening uses the ASRS, a widely used adult ADHD self-report scale, to check whether your attention and focus difficulties fit a pattern consistent with ADHD — and to rule out other explanations, like a manic or psychotic episode, before anything else. A positive screen leads to a referral for a full diagnostic assessment; it isn't a diagnosis by itself.

Quick Self-Check

Answer a few quick questions. This isn't a diagnosis — a real clinical assessment is the next step either way.

How We Work

A Care365 clinical reviews your ASRS screening answers, confirms your symptoms trace back to childhood (a requirement for an ADHD diagnosis), and checks for any history of mania or psychosis, which needs its own assessment first. With a positive screen and no safety concerns, you're referred for a full diagnostic assessment — and, if appropriate, offered atomoxetine, a non-stimulant option, in the meantime.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this get me a prescription for a stimulant like Adderall or Vyvanse?
No. Stimulant medications need their own cardiac and misuse-risk assessment by a prescriber as part of a full diagnostic work-up — this screening doesn't authorize one. If appropriate, a non-stimulant option (atomoxetine) can be offered while you wait for that assessment.
What is the ASRS?
The Adult ADHD Self-Report Scale is a widely used screening questionnaire for adult ADHD symptoms. A positive result supports referral for a full diagnostic assessment — it isn't a diagnosis on its own.
My symptoms only started as an adult — does this still apply to me?
ADHD is defined as beginning in childhood. If your symptoms clearly started only in adulthood, your healthcare professional will discuss other explanations that deserve their own assessment, rather than proceeding down the ADHD pathway.
What if I've had a period of unusually high energy or racing thoughts?
Bipolar disorder can look like ADHD, so this is always checked first. If it applies to you, you'll be referred for that assessment before any ADHD-specific next step.
What happens after the screening?
If your screen is positive, you'll be referred to complete a full diagnostic assessment, and your healthcare professional will follow up to confirm that referral was completed.
