Will this get me a prescription for a stimulant like Adderall or Vyvanse?
No. Stimulant medications need their own cardiac and misuse-risk assessment by a prescriber as part of a full diagnostic work-up — this screening doesn't authorize one. If appropriate, a non-stimulant option (atomoxetine) can be offered while you wait for that assessment.
What is the ASRS?
The Adult ADHD Self-Report Scale is a widely used screening questionnaire for adult ADHD symptoms. A positive result supports referral for a full diagnostic assessment — it isn't a diagnosis on its own.
My symptoms only started as an adult — does this still apply to me?
